Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ShopMate collects when you use this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

When you place an order: your name, delivery address, phone number and email address, the items ordered, and, if you pay by bank transfer, the payment receipt you upload.

Automatically: basic visit information such as the pages viewed and approximate timing, used to understand how the store is being used. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.

We do not collect card numbers, because we do not take card payments on this site.

Why we use it

To process, pack and deliver your order; to contact you about it; to verify a bank transfer; to handle returns and refunds; to keep accurate business records; and to understand which products and pages are used so the store can be improved.

Who we share it with

Couriers and delivery partners, limited to what is needed to deliver your parcel.

Our service providers: Supabase, which hosts the database and stored files; Resend, which sends order emails; and Sentry, which receives technical error reports when something breaks. They process data on our instructions only.

Error reports are stripped of personal details before they are sent. No names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or payment receipts.

Anyone we are legally required to disclose to.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as needed for the order, returns, accounting and tax. Visit information is kept in aggregate. You can ask us to delete data we no longer need to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do that, contact us using the details below.

Security

Access to order data is restricted to the people who run this store. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so we ask that you do not send payment card details or passwords by email or message.

Children

This store is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always the one on this page.
